• The Affirmation Ambition EP (more here) by And an A was released in 1985. The band started 1981 and existed for almost a decade but released only two singles. I read that David McComb of The Triffids believed that And An A should have put out a double album every six months. For me they had a bit of a Cabaret Voltaire feel. At one point And an A featured bass player Nigel Harford who the band had met at a party. Interestingly Harford played in both And An A and German Humour for two years. German Humour’s Adrian Wood remembers And An A ‘doing interesting things with power tools like angle grinders… Couldn’t Be Wrong is from German Humour’s one and only cassette Dutch Courage that debuted in 1982, they were a short-lived a three-piece featuring Nigel Harford, Peter Bates and Adrian Wood. German Humour’s Linn Drum was credited as ‘Fourth Member’. And an A and German Humour both featured on 2017 compilation Closed Circuits Australian Alternative Electronic Music Of The ’70s & ’80s, Volume 1 – If you like Sky Girl you will love this compilation.
• Like Junk – Dolly, Dolly single from 2013 – written by Scott White, Cello by Allie Rose Clarke. Great video for the extended mix with extra feedback and distortion written & directed by Melinda Tupling. Bit of a Triffids vibe especially darker Triffids – I am thinking Field of Glass – 1985. Boris Sujdovic (The Scientists, Beasts Of Bourbon) plays bass on all the tracks.

• Consulate – Chimera Dance – July 2020 – GCR012 – Assassino EP – Ex-Perth resident Al Campbell now living in Melbourne – also known as Senate. Check out 2015’s Black Narcissus on Berlin’s Portals Edition label it has a real Demdike Stare vibe I then found out Al Campbell is in the Perth-based experimental collective Rathe – check out the Demdike Stare sounds of Hashashin II and Orange Christ Form

• Another Balearic Bliss Bomb in Long Body – Mouth Feel – Dream Running EP – June 2020 – Good Company Records now up to 13 releases.

• Music For Crystal Shops and the track Larimar from Night Sky Gallery. There has ben prolific production over last few months on the Stellar Beams labe. Including RTRFM’s own DJ Kael from Ambient Zone aka Sola Cell Ki. One of hs tracks popped up on Bedroom Cassette Masters Volume 10 – big respect to Simon Holland for putting all these incredible Bedroom Cassete compilations together over the last 8 years!
