Jeff Pitcher started taking pictures in earnest after being given a manual film camera and a how-to photography book for his 28th birthday. He has now won numerous prizes, and having been the subject of features in national magazines, has turned his lens onto his hometown of Crawley, shooting the streets, the buildings and the people. With a musicians ear and an eye for detail he draws on his years in cult band Spitfire to inform his pictures of live music shows, and has garnered a reputation for in-the-thick-of-it documentation of the garage punk scene.

Check out this video if you are unsure on whether you prefer now over then – although you might want to turn the sound down – its not garage punk from Crawley or the band Spitfire (unfortunately)
